NOTES OF THE TURF. P. J. Dwyer, Thomas Welsh and Thomas Monahan were the guests of Col. Alex Labold at Cincinnati Tuesday, en route from Lexington to their homes in New York. The Kentucky State Racing Commission has received a request from New Orleans, asking for u eopj- of the racing laws, rules and regulations in vogue in Kentucky. The request comes from an Influential member of one of the jockey clubs and the belief prevails that another effort is to be made to revive racing in the Crescent Citv. Belle of Bryn Mawr has improved greatly since she passed into the hands of S. Velller. In Kentucky she always acted badly fractious at the post. Upon one occasion she ran away two miles and In. a previous start she left her company as the barrier arose and ran in an opposite direction. She is now seemingly as good an actor as has faced the barrier at J.uarez. Harry Payne Whitney materially cut down his shipment of yearlings from this country to England this fall, only eight being sent over. They are: Chestnut lilly by Broomstick Petticoat: bay colt by Broomstick Rose of Dawn; chestnut tillv by Broomstick Queen of Hearts: bay filly by Hamburg Bonnie Star: chestnut eolt by Burgomaster Fle-sole; bay gelding by Burgomaster Leayonara; bay filly by Burgomaster Sandria, and chestnut gelding,, by Burgomaster Tanya.
