NAUSHON A PROMISING TUMPING PROSPECT. New York, December 10. Ed Hogan has a likely lot of horses in charge at Westbury. L. I., that he is fitting for the season of 1914. Several of those ho has in his barn have been prominent at Hunt Club meetings and will doubtless return to that branch of the sport. Daybell, Raymond. and Richfield are three of the string and then there Is a three-year-old filly by Ormicant that is promising. In all Hogan has nine horses. Naushon was sent to him during the summer to be patched up. This fellow was one of the best two-year-olds of 1910 and the most dangerous rival of Novelty, winner of the Futurity of that year. He was put to jumping and showed quality in the field, but unfortunately ho went wrong and had to be laid aside. Hogan appears to have brought him hack to practical soundness and ho has been sent to join the Richard T. Wilson string at Belmont Park. He will doubtless train next season and it would not lie at all surprising to see him one of the truly good steeplechasers of 1914. He is a horse of immense size and as a two-year-old he was remarkable for his game-ness.
