: USEFUL MEMBERS OF A LOUISVILLE STABLE f Of the seven horses racing in the ownership of A. P. numplirey this year only four won money, but three of the four did well enough to more than pay the legitimate expenses of a small stable. Of this trio the old black gelding. Sir Catesby, covered himself with glory when on the last day of the Latouia autumn meeting he carried off the honors and spoils of the Latouia Cup, at two miles and a quarter, its ,025 net constituting the major portion of his earnings for the year. Next to this old warrior In useful service was the speedy Casey Jones, a dangerous horse at sprinting distances in any sort of company and good enough in one of his successful races to give fourteen pounds in weight and a beating to the Texas Oyer, Pan Zareta. The third best winner in the stable was the good two-year-old filly, Bronzewing, which was quite a credit to her sire. Stalwart, and may rank high in the list of winning tliree-year-olds of her sex next-year. The stable account for the year is: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st, 2d. 3d. Won.
