NOTES OF THE TURF. E. A. Tipton will take up none of "Doe." Tanners duties in the service of C. K. G. Billings except the supervision of the trotting horse breeding operations. He will act in the same capacity for Mr. Billings as he did years ago for the late Marcus Daly at his famous Bitter Root Farm, in Montana. Among those on board the steamship Majestic, which arrived at New York last Thursday morning, was Fred G. Herbert. American jockey, who was hurrying to the bedside of his sick mother in Chicago. Herbert, who rides for Lord Lonsdale, Sir Ernest Cassel and II. P. Whitney, was impatient when the vessel was held up at quarantine by the huge mail it was carrying, fearing that he would miss his . train connections. Robert Timms. 118 Chatham Street. Windsor, Ont.. is still seeking the whereabouts of his son Chester, who left Windsor in May, 1909. supposedly with some racing stable, and has offered a reward of 00 for information that will lead to locating him. It is the fathers theory that his son is travelling under another name than his own. He is now past 21 1 years old, possibly 5 feet 10 Inches high, well built, with clear complexion, light hair and eyes, small nose, with upper teeth pressed back. His parents anxiously desire to know his whereabouts, aud he will receive a cordial welcome home.
