FLORA FINA AND MILTON B. STARS OF THIS STABLE 4. J. W. Johnsons stable of 1913 was practically an affair of two horses. None of his trio of two-year-olds proved fleet enough to win a race for him anil it was reserved for Flora Fina and Milton B. to furnish his quite respectable total of stable earnings. Flora Finas racing of this year has recently been described at length in Daily Racing Form. Milton B. was capable of displaying a high order of speed at times when lightly weighted and gave a signal illustration of this ability when he won the Independence Handicap at Lutonia, July 4, and. in running its mile and three-sixteenths in 1:50, established a new American record for that distance. This race was of the net Value of ,005 and constituted the major portion of Milton B.s contribution to the stables total. Its record for the year being: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d.
