ENTRIES TO THE FUTURITY TO CLOSE. With that solicitous regard for the best interests of racing, which has always been its guiding policy, the Coney Island Jockey Club keeps the Futurity alive even though it must be decided over some other track, while its own magnificent Sheepshead Bay course remains closed to the greatest of open air diversions. In this spirit it announces the closing of entries of mares to the Futurity of 1910. to close at midnight of next Friday, January 2. It is obvious that the generous course of the Coney Island Jockey Club in this case is one calling tor lavish reciprocity on the part of owners of thoroughbred broodmares. The club estimates the probable gross value of this particular Futurity at 0,001. which seenis reasonable, but the owners of this country and Canada have it within their power to make it a much greater sum. It is worth some sacrifice financially to reap in return the just pride of having bred the winner of such a Tenowned race. No owner should forego the chance of experiencing that exulting emotion. Hence it follows that every healthy broodmare in the country should be nominated to this great event. Its conditions are fully stated in the advertising department of this issue of Daily Racing Form. Perusal of those conditions by owners and trainers is commended.
