WILL PROBABLY LOCATE IN KENTUCKY. Barney Schrcibcr Looking Over Bluo Grass Farms with That Idea in View. Lexington, Ky., January 3. More than lively two widely-known breeders of thoroughbred horses will take possession of farms in the vicinity of Lexington and bring all of their horses here in the near future. They are Messrs. Barney Schreiber, of Sedalia, Mo., and Fred A. Forsythe, of Harrodsburg, I hey are both here now looking over a number farms and it Is exacted that thev will each con to a decision during the coming week. At his MiV souri farm Mr. Schreiber lias the stallions Nealou and Joe- Carey and something like loo mares, together with a number of yearlings. Mr. Korsvthe has :it the Fouutalnblue Farm in Mercer County, which he recently sold, the stallions Out of R.-ach and Dorante, twenty-four mares and fourteen vear-lings. lie does not have to get them off the farm until July 1 next. Charles W. .Moore said this week that he had declined an .offer or ,000 Tor the prosoective sister or brother to the good race horse llorron, now a four-year-old. by McGee Josie L.. in the stable of 1 Amos Turney. For Charles McKenna. who was the owner of Foundation until he liecame the properly of Jefferson Livingston, Pierce is training Hal McGee, a chestnut colt by McGee: for W. II. Netherland. of Louisville, a colt bv Peep oDav -Wedding Day. which lias been named Mendelssohn; for Joe S. Hawkins an unnamed colt bv Peter Quince: Tor Ed Tincher, of Lexington, a lillv bv McGee Aida Dunn; for T. P. Haves a colt by Dick Welles. These are all two-year-olds. He also has Catesby Woodfords three-year-old John Mc Ginnis and W. II. Crawfords thrce-vear-ol.i Big Spirit. John Wlii t low went to .T. X. C.tMdens farm near Versailles this morning to shoe the threc-vear-olds Bringhurst, Casuarina, Iridescence and Bermudian. They will be brought to the Kentucky Association track to enter J. . Keenes stable during the coming week. They are said to have been much unproved by their rest at the rami and trainer Keene expects them to give a good account of themselves this year. The fillies Lodona and Rosa Mundl. the latter a sister to Helios, have been retired to the Camden stud and will be mated with Peter Quince next spring. Trainer Keene said todav that when he saw Helios about a month ago he "was still In bad condition from the injury lie received from coming in contact with a tree in his naddock, though he was not lame.
