FAIL DATES MAY BE REVISED. Ottawa, Ont., March 4. A re-arrangement of dates for the fall meeting at Counaught Park will likely he made. The autumn meeting at the new course on the Aylmer road was originally slated to open on Wednesday, August 20, and close on Wednesday, September 2, but as Ottawa had lost Labor Day and one Saturday, both of which they had last year, they raised objection, particularly in view of the fact that the Montreal Jockey Club should lie given two Saturdays and Labor Day. Manager Rohrback and Fred Carling, chairman of the racing committee, were at Montreal Saturday, where they conferred with William Northey, secretary of the Montreal Jockey Club. They suggested that the fall meeting at Connaught Park open on Saturday, August 29, and close on Saturday, September 5. The alternative is that Montreal delay the opening of the Dlue Bonnets meeting until Labor Day. or that it open the previous Saturday and clash with the closing day at Connaught Park. Mr. Northey seemed agreeable, and it is likely that the; changes will go through, though the Canadian Raeing Associations will have to sanction It. Messrs. Rohrback and Carling returned today feeling satisfied that the change would be made. It is announced that the Merchants Stakes, the added feature of the spring program at Connaught Park, will lie competed for on Saturday, June 20.
