LATONIA STALLS IN GREAT DEMAND. Cincinnati, O., October 3. Applications for stable room made to Manager John Hachmeister in the Inst few days indicate that there will he more horses at Latonia than has been quartered at auy other track in Kentucky this fall. The meeting at Latonia will close the Kentucky racing season of 1914 with eighteen days of racing, beginning on Monday. October 19. and ending on Saturday, November 7. As these dates fall during the season of Indian summer, good weather may 1k expected during the greater part of the meeting. There is an abundance of room for all stables whose owners may desire to take part in the meeting.-Withiu the next day or two Manager Hachmeister will be at the Latonia track to look after the details of the opening of the big plant on October 19. and Secretary E. W. Olaginn will also be hero soon to issue the program book for the meeting, the conditions of which he has spent much pains on this fall. The meeting at Latonia will have as its opening feature race the ever popular Latonia Autumn Inaugural Handicao, ,000 added, one mile and a sixteenth, which was won last season by the veteran High Private and has always been productive of a brilliant contest. Other stakes to be run during the meeting are the Autumn, Fort Thomas, and the big feature race of the eighteen days sport, the Latonia Autumn Cup. ,500 added, two miles and a quarter, which latter event is sot for the closing day of the racing season of 1914 at this track, and for which all the long distance stars are eligible.
