NOTES OF THE TURF. The English Racecourse Bookmakers Association has voted per week to the wives of members who are or may be serving at tho front. It is alleged that Blum is a partisan of Felix Diaz. Blum was arrested last June in Mexico City charged with a political offense, but was released by Huerta. In order to insure the success of the two-day meeting at Hawthorne on Friday and Saturday next, the management, made up of Chicago business men, headed by Thomas Carey, owner of the track, has agreed to pay shipping charges for horses whlcn will come from Canada and Kentucky to take part. John Hogaa is to act as starter.
