THE GANDER raced forwardly to the half, where he dropped back, but came again in the stretch and overhauled the leaders to win drawing clear. BOLY HILL ran a good race, but tired slightly in the last eighth. JOE NOLAN closed a big gap iii the stretch and finished gamely. BOB R. made a threatening challenge after going three-Quarters, but tired in the stretch. CURLICUE was raced into exhaustion in pacemaking for the lirst three-quarters. RINGLING trailed far back for the lirst mile, then moved up steadily and, racing into the lead in the last three-eighths, held SIR CATESBY safe at the cud. The latter ran a game race, but was tiring faster than the winner through the last eighth. ANY PORT had no mishaps. SHORT GRASS hail the- worst of Hie start and began slowly, but moved up resolutey after going the first half and. finishing fast, would have won at a longer distance. LITTLE FATHER tired after setting a good pace to the stretch. GROS-VENOR ran an eighth at top speed to a false start and tired in the last half. Overweights Prince Hermis. H pounds. SUREGET. showing- the most early speed, sot a fast pace to the stretch, but began tiring in the last eighth and swerved to the inner rail. OSAPLE ran well and might have been second bat for being interfered with when SUREGET swerved. TRANSPORT finished well The winner, entered for 00, was bid ur to 00 and sold to J. T. Williams.
