PUTTING FAIR GROUNDS IN ORDER. New Orleans. Octber 25. Evidence that the coming winter meeting of the Business Mens Racing Association, which will open Jan. 1, will be a "go" was shown when work was started on the fair grounds track, so that it will be ready to receive thoroughbreds in the near future. The Joseph Schwartz Carriage Company has donated two power trucks for tho purpose of putting the track in condition ,and the unique sight of automobile trucks putting a race course in shape fot horses to run over will be witnessed. AAalter O. Parmer of Nashville, Tenn.. a well-known breeder and one of the owners of the AAind-sor race track, is here and had a long conference with Jndge Murphy before the latter left for Kentucky. Mr. Parmer Is enthusiastic over the prospect of the revival of racing in New Orleans. Speaking of the matter, he said: "I am here looking over the cotton situation. It is the first time I have been in New Orleans since racing closed. If you race I will spend most of my winter here. I have four two-year-olds that 1 was going to turn out. If you race I will let Ed Moore bring thera down here."
