NOTES OF THE TURF. W. G. Yanke has announced his intention of shipping to Juarez with fourteen horses. It is decidedly unusual for any broodmare to be represented by. successful trotters as well as gallopers, but the dam of Derby Day. winner of two races at the recent Amberley Steeplechase Meeting, also threw Electrocute, a good performer in trotting events in New Zealand. Sydney Referee. II. G. Bedwell will race the following horses nt Pimlico: Pardner. Dixie, Parlor Boy. Prince Ahmed. Lady Lightning, Sir Ldgar, Jim Savage. Lochiel. Marjorie A.. Elwah. Briar Path. Royal Blue, Bushy Head, The Lark. Knight of Uncas. Laura, Sonny Boy, Centauri. Brave Cunarder, Early Light. Master Jim, Loan Shark, Billy Vanderveer and Proctor. The water jump in the steeplechase course at AVoodhine Park. Toronto, is being removed to the center of the field, directly opposite and facing tin; grand stand. It is planned to change the course next season. In place of the straight run down tlie back stretch the horses will cross tlie field twice, about tlie center, which should make the steeplechases more spectacular.
