PROMINENT RACING MAN INJURED. Baltimore, Md.. November 18. Reduioud C. Stewart, of the law firm of Barton. WHmer and Stewart and one of the best known and most daring fox hunters .in the state, had a narrow escape from being killed by u fall while fox hunting on the farm of J. Rush Streett. near Farmington, Harford county. He is now at the Union Protestant Infirmary suffering with concussion of the brain. He was iu an improved condition last night and was able to resiKMd to questions. He was conscious when taken to the hospital, although drowsy, and it was hard to make him understand anything. His recovery has been steady, and it is expected that it will be rapid. Ir. Stewart Is one of the most .widely . known cross-country riders in this part ol the country and is one of the leading spirits in the Green Spring Valley Hunf. He was formerly a member of the Racing Commission of Baltimore county, and has been earnest in his efforts to put horse racing in "Maryland on a high plane. He is a sou of the late Charles Mortou Stewart. His wife was formerly Miss Katharine Latimer Small, of York. Pa. They have four children. A brother. W. .Plunkett Stew-iirt. now resides iu Philadelphia, having married a daughter of the late A. J. Cassatt, former president of the Pennsylvania railroad.
