It was Kewessas second straight victory scored at this meeting. In both races he beat some of the best sprinters here. It was a close thing at the finish between Hudas Brother and Dangerous March. The former made ail of the pace, while Dangerous Marcli came from behind. At the end Dangerous March was catching the leader with every stride and in a few more jumps would have beaten him. Schuyler L. Parsons shifty two-year-old, Hanson, accounted for the second race, which lie won in easv fashion from Between Us. Butwell got Hanson off well, wliilc Between Us was a bit slow to get going. The latter was fortunate, however, in saving ground on the turns and this enabled him to withstand Stalwart Helens rush at the end. The latter has developed into a great stretch runner and she is dangerous in any company if she is within striking distance of the leaders in entering the homestretch. Heavy support developed for Towtou Field in thj third race, but the old horse was unable to make good.
