JOCKEY DRAWS SUSPENSION TEAHAN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE FURTH.ER AT CHARLESTON. Indulgence in Rough Riding Brings Edict from Stewards of Palmetto Park Meeting Days Winners Well Backed. I Charleston, S. C, December 11. Drastic action on the part of the stewards followed the running of the fourth race this afternoon when they suspended jockey Teahan for the remainder of the Palmetto Park meeting for rough riding while astride Astrologer. Teahan begn his rough tactics on the lirst. turn when he cut across the others sharply, Gerrard, Colonel Holloway and Patty Regan being the chief sufferers. The interference gave Al Bloen and Yellow Eyes an advantage, as they escaped it. They continued to run in advance of the others for the entire trip and Al Block was returned the winner as a result of jockey Lilleys superiority to Iral. Astrologer managed to linlsh third. During the stretch racing Astrologer again bothered Ger-rani, and Hanover, on the latter, made a vicious swing with his whip at Teahan to make him desist, lie later claimed a foul, which the stewards did not entertain. Close finishes were the rule in all the races this afternoon and most of the winners were well backed. The talent lost through the failures of Cold Cap and Fool o Fortune. Roth of these were highly regarded, but Cold Cap succumbed to the outsider, Queed, and Fool o Fortune practically broke down, which accounted for his failure to get a,ny portion of the purse. The opener. In which maidens engaged, resulted in a hair line victory for Andromeda over Kopje and The Lark. Fair Margaret was given considerable consideration bv a select few, hut she bolted in the lirst quarter and unseated jockey Robinson, who escaped unhurt. Miss l.avn Harbor, supported almost to the exclusion of the others in the third race, made a runaway affair of it. Mrs. Campbell, which R. E. Wntklns acquired towards the cluse of the Havre de Grace" meeting, made good over Fair Helen in the tJIi1,JaiJ JJeuiLPeiv wou handily in the closing dash. fV. E. Suggs, J. L. McGinnls and Miss A.
