WOULD SPARE THE TWOYEAROLDS At the recent meeting of the Jockey Club Cant F K Cassatt proposed an amendment to the rules of racing to provide that no horse foaled in li 15 or thereafter shall run In any race before April 1 of his twoyearold year under penalty of thercbv being disqualified for all races under Jockey Club rules until after December 1 of his twoyearold form The proposed amendment further provides that such racing of a twoyearold before April t shall automatically act as a declaration of such horse from all his engagements except the Futurity which is to be specifically exempted The amend ¬ ment goes over until the next meeting of the Jockey Club
