JUAREZ BACK TO NORMAL BIG FIELDS OF POOR HORSES CONTEND WITH RESULTS BAD FOR FAVORITES. Old Rosebud Turned Out on a Texas Farm in Hope He Can Be Trained Next Spring — Two Jockeys Suspended. El Paso, Tex., December 23. — Things have settled back into their routine at Juare-z and the racing went on today without special incident. Large fields were the rule and favorites fared pe»orIv. Old Rosebud has been turned out at Wade Mc-Lemores farm in Texas for the remainder of tlie Juarez meeting. He will be taken to Louisville in the spring, when another attempt will be made to train him. Mose Goldblatt has departed for Havana and is due there Sunday. Harry F. Brievogel. assistant to General Manager Matt J. Winn, is sufferiug. from a slight attack ot illness. Jcckey Carter was suspended for five days for disobedience at the i ost in the second race. Barney Schreibcr is a late- arrival, coming from San Francise-o, and will remain a few days, then go on to New Orleans. Capt. B. C. Bunbury came in today from his ranch at Kerrville, with his Texas Futurity candidate Honeycut. Jockey Mott also was suspended five days for rough riding in the third race.
