There are some real good lookers among the ■ hand and it is really surprising how fast the , youngsters develop here. Mrs. Godfrey Preeee and , G. Y. J. Bissell had more yearlings in their ■tables than any other owners here. Mrs. Preeee had eight and Bissell six. It was a gathering of Cubas mosl representative men both in the business world and government circle-. President Melioeal is enthusiastic over the sport and it is his mosl earnest wish that it be built up to a big scale. It is his intention to invite many of the big men on the island to become members of the Club in order to foster the sport in Cuba. In this way the Cuba-American Jockey Club will attain a prominence that "ill make it a most i ow-erful organization. Manager H. D. W The Living-ton horses, which arrived here on Sun , lav la-t from Juarez, were — loaded from the heel in good condition. They stood the trip well and will be reaily for the races tp a few days. Trainer Mose Goldhliitt was unable to accompany the stable, having been delaved in Juarez on account of the illness of hla wife. The horses came in charge of Harrv Gardner and Ihe stable foreman.
