K00TENAY OUTPACES LITTLE STRING. El Pnso, Tex., January 8. — The prin 1pal race at Juarez today was a three-quarters handicap, fir wl ch the veteran Koote-nay ruled favorite- and made every post a winning eene. Ko- tenay had a Margin of a length at the end over Little String, w hi. -It made several ineffectual challenges during the running. F. D. Weirs colors yvere carried to victory in tha two-year-old race b.v B -ssanta. The results of the day were generally formful. John Graham, whence of the third race, was bid up from 8888 to 1916.sh00 by J. W. Murphy and was bi l in for Daniels and Hodges by the usual 80 advane-e. Hard Ball was bid up yesterday from 00 to 03 by E. F. Smith and was bought in by J. N. Mounce. Chip Diamond, from the Weir stable, while being worked out this morning fell and was layered M badly that it was destroyed. Exercise boy HeAdasss was severed v bruised and take-n to a heal hospital. Tlu- stables of J. Pelter. J. Hoskins and S. Le-dnke. comprising one e-ar. left here today for Tin lessen. l.ackrose. winner of the fifth race, was bid up frees h to 1916.sh00 by T.
