GOVERNOR SEES THE RACES LOUISIANA-S CHIEF EXECUTIVE PATRONIZES THE SPORT AND SEEMS TO LIKE IT. Eagle Defeats Grumpy and Celesta in the Chief Race of the Afternoon — Respess Wins a Purse — McCormack to Train for Butler. New Orleans, La.. January S. — An immense half-holiday throng witnessed Uie racing at the Fair Grand* this afternoon.
