PRESIDENT WOODFORD RESIGNS OFFICE. Lexington. Kv.. l-ebrnary 15. — On the eve of hi- departure for Florida ten days ago. Catesby Wo id ford tendered lii- resignation as president of the Kentucky AssoelattOB. but the directors declined to accept it. believing that he bad become-slightly miffed over opposition to bis views on adopted by-laws and the probable selection of certain men for official positions. It is now stated bv a close friend of President Woodford, tbat he will insist upon the acceptance of bis resignation. "1 have tu information as to who mav succeed him." said this Iriend. "but Messrs. Overtou IL Cbenualt. Thomas C. McDnvoll and Hal Price Ileadlev are being discussed."
