In height the horses average sixteen hands and in weight 1.100 pounds. It will thus be seen that the nre a fine lot of useful stallions, that should yield a large crop of giowthy, subandumtUU colts. They were purchased with the idea of getting level-headed stallions of substance that weald sin-good work stock. The half-bred* will have a better market than most horses, because if they grow into animals that can be used under the saddle they will have a good market as hunters or cavalry mounts. If they arc out of heavier and more sluggish mares, they can be used as farm horses. If is believed that each stallion will cover approximately thirty or more mares this season.
