CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The first of the Toronto-owned stables to return from the winter campaign abroad is that of William Walker, whose lot reached Toronto Monday from Maryland. They numbered eight and include Parlor Boy. Batwa. Larkin. Servicence. Lady Spirit-uelle, Nigadoo, Princess Fay and Dandy Fay. Henry Straus, who died from heart failure, while in attendance on a baseball game at Cincinnati last Friday, was a man of many business activities. He was interested in racing and. at the time of his death, was the owner of the staying horse Raincoat, winner of the St. Leger Handicap at Churchill km last fall. Wise Judge, b. h, 5, by Golden Maxim — Verdict, won the five-eighths Flying Handicap of $."l0 at Cai e Town on February 26. He won by a half length, with eight lengths between second and third. This is the sixth race he has won this racing season in South Africa, where altogether he has t een successful in ten races up to date. Fourteen regular books, two field honks and a combination l ook catered to the lietting people at Tijuana last Saturday. The hookies in line were W. P. Kyne. Frank Dunlc.-ivy. Horac- Iaul. W. Hall.
