CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Ral Parr has leased the racing qualities of Dar-bishire from Mrs. Mary R. Allen. Woods Stockton has leased the racing qualities of Dr. Nelson. Queen of the Sea and Cherry Belie from William Garth. William D. Babcock has leased the racing qualities of Clifton Girl. Tom Lowrey and Royal Master from Hartley H. Seaton. The stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association will give a hearing at their next meeting on May 4. to jockey Yourell on his application for a renewal of his riding license. The names of the horses from the British gov-ment stud which have been leased for racing purposes to Lord Lonsdale are Albion, Calais, Candescent. Eagles Nest, Halewood, Lionells and Royal Favour. Officials for the coining meeting of the Inited Hunts Racing Association are as follows: Judges, H. A. Bourne and A. Butler Duncan; clerk of the scales, W. C. Erwin: starter, Frank T. G Pleasant as governor of Louisiana by a plurality of some 25,000 over his inde| endent opponent is regarded as a favorable outcome of the election just held in that state, from the standpoint of racing at New Orleans.
