To nay that the greatest racing in the states history is in prospect, might to Home persons seem a hackneyed expression, somewhat stereotyped, or merely animal spring time "boost." but it really is true. There was never in any other year so many really good prospective race horses stabled at the tracks in this state and. it is doubtful, if racing has presented a belter collection of thoroughbreds than the nearly 1,800 that are quartered at Lexington, Louisville and 1 .a tenia. He kept it under a covering of straw all winter* and the result is that it is as lively us a stretch of rubber and is at the same time well cushioned. Secretary Garrett I. In the evening the newly organized Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse Association will entertain these visitors with a dinner at the Phoenix Hotel at which Judge Charles Kerr will lie toastmaster and several interesting addresses will be made by prominent men, including Governor Stanley. All horses that are to make the racing have arrived here with the exception of a few. including a division of the John Sanford string, which will come over from Louisville tomorrow in charge of Preston Batch.
