POSITANO was hard ridden through the homestretch. DEFENDER closed a big gap and finished fast. MY GIRL showed speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. BAMBOO was saved close up ttntil in the last turn of the field, then moved tip steadily and easily disposed of the tiring pacemakers, but was ridden out to outstay IDLE MICHAEL. The latter ran well and, responding gamely to urging, finished wearing the winner down. CU BON fenced well and was easily best of the others. IDLE MICHAEL and CU BON went to their knees at the third jump. LITTLE HUGH led to the last half and quit. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. MACK quit in the stretch. BLACKFORD ran poorly in the going. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. EY showed speed, but swerved out on the stretch turn. OLD BOB ran fairly well. FREDA JOHNSON quit. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
