As usual, the majority of the races called out amateur ri lers and horses owned by the hunting set. But that did not detract from the high-class cut.-r: linmi nt. as some of the amateur riders compare favorably with the professionals. For three hours the scene was one of continuous excitement. As usual, tke paddock where the horses were prepared, was the objective point of the assemblage. Here Mm men in hunting costume and women in the latisi fashioned riding habits congregated, chattering and laughing, criticizing and applauding the horses and riders as they passed through the gat-s to the course.
