SEAGRAM HORSES WORK WELL AT TORONTO. Toronto. Out.. May 17. -The most important work at Woodbine todaj wmm that of the Seagram Imrscv, to witness whieii Mr. F.d. Seagram came down from Waterloo. The performaneo of Mandarin in the center of a muddy traek and with much overweight settled the Kings Plate of MM as far as the onlookers were concerned. He put in a mile in 1:4*.-, and a mile and a quarters in 2:17% in easy fashion. No other bane all morning showed a mil-- as good as 1 :50. The other colts in the Seagram â– table. Gala Day and Jala Water, made their mile in 1:51% and a mile and a quarter in 2:22. The former is an unwillin-r work bane and Gala Water does not run well in the mud. He will not be started in the Kings Plate unless the track i dry or good. The stable will be represented by the three colt* and has some anticipation of landing all throe moneys aud thus creating a record for the race.
