The latter moved up gamely on the stretch turn, but tired after getting to the leader. SHEPHERDESS was forced wide on the far turn and when e ntering the homestretch, but finished fast and close up. GAMMON stumbled on the turn oat of the backstretch and was pulled up. PEACOCK finished fast. FENROCK quit after setting the early pace. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 00 and sold to R.
