WISTFUL was forced to be eased up on the far turn, but came around the leaders after entering the homestretch and drew clear to win in a canter. AIMEE T. showed the most speed and easily held TRIPLE CROWN safe. The latter ran green and jumped on AIMEE T. at the start, then raced into the lead under hard pressure, but quit in the final eighth and was short. RUNNING SHOT was eased up in the final quarter. SAM McMEEKIN was badly outpaced in the early running, but was gaining slowiy through the final three-eighths. A1IARA was never prominent. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. MALACHITE was saved behind the leaders until straightened out in the homestretch, then raced into the lead easily and won going away. GRASP set the early pace and. hanging on gamely in the final drive, outstayed FEMINIST. The latter raced into the lend on the last turn, but tired and the race should benefit her. BAC was outpaced and raced behind the leaders for the entire way, but appears to be on edge. CAPRA began slowly, but closed up steadily on the backstretch and raced along with THE FINN under slight restraint to the stretch and outstayed him at the end. THE FINN raced into the lead on the backstretch and withstood repeated challenges, but tired in the deciding drive. BOOTS met with Interference on the first turn and. finishing gamely under punishment, his race was better than the chart shows. SHORT GRASS finished with his usual belated rush. PRINCE HENRY raced forwardly on the outside of the leaders for three-quarters. FLITTERGOLD began badly. The last four were eased up in the homestretch. The latter was cut off when entering the homestretch, but finished gamely and wearing the leader down. PIQUETTE, favored by her lig ht weight, set the early pace and hung on well.
