SEVERAL BROODMARES DIE IN FOALING. Lexington. Ky.. May 20. — Two marcs died while foaling at Melbourne Farm this week. T. Collins lost Uiurctta Burke dam of Jack ODowd. but he saved her bay filly foal by Magneto. H. II. Hewitts Angerona was another mare to die and her foal also died. The following foals were reported this week: K. T. Wilsons Montress.i. a brown colt by Ol.-im-bala; John D. Carrs Grace Commoner, a chestnut colt by McGec; T. B. Jones Merry Blue, a chestnut -olt by Handsel: K. S. J., a chestnut filly by Handsel, and Aimless, a chestnut filly by Handsel: A. K. Hundleys Sister Mollie. a chestnut colt by Ivan the Terrible. Sister Molly died and the foal is suckling another mare.
