FERNROCK was in a jam at the start, but gradually improved his position on the outside of the leaders and, finishing gamely under punishment, wore MISTARD down in the closing strides. The latter raced forwardly and took the lead in the final eighth, but tired when challenged. DADDYS CHOICE was repeatedly interfered with and closed a big gap in the homestretch. PRINCE OF COMO set a good pace to the stretch and tired. VERMONT ran next to the rail throughout. FEMINIST was poorly ridden. The last three were cased up at the end. ARMAMENT was hard urged from the start and lacked speed, but finished gamely and outstayed STALWART HELEN. The latter tired after running well for a half mile.
