CLEARS THE WAY FOR RENO Reno. Nev.. May 23. — According to announcement made here, the Tijuana race meeting will suspend operation on June 25 for a period of three weeks in order not to conflict with the Reno meeting, programmed to open on July 1. Tijuana will resume its races immediately after the close at Reno and will run until August. This agreement, it is said, was put through by president Coffroth of the Lower California Jockey Club so as to give Reno every opportunity to attract a big entry of horses. The chances are that many of the stables at Tijuana will ship to Nevada for the nineteen days of racing. President ColTroth is planning to make an extensive tour of the eastern tracks next summer in order to line up horses for the next meeting at Tijuana and to get acquainted with the racing situation on the metropolitan race courses. The pnri-iuutucl system of wagering which holds sway in Kentucky. Maryland and Canada will Ik- investigated and if it is as successful as reported, Coffroth may decide to install it at Tijuana.
