KENTUCKY RACING COMMISSION ACTION. Louisville, Ky.. May 23. — Members of the Kentucky State Pacing Commission held a meeting in the Churchill Downs clubhouse this morning and, after its adjournment, secretary Samuel C. Nm kols issued the following statement of the proceedings: Present: Mr. T. H. Talbott. Mr. Charles F. Grainger, Gen. W. B. Haldeman and Judge Allie W. Young. Vice-chairman T. H. Talbott presided. "The minutes of the meetings of October 7, 1915, December 3. 1915, and March 20. 1916, were read and approved, and the miniit«-s of the meeting of April 20 were approved. Upon motion, duly seconded, the jockey license of A. Palms was tabled, until time to further investigate. The application of J. Hogan for a trainers license, the action of the License Committee was upheld. Mr. Hogan hail already been refused. The application of R. Small for a jockeys license was granted, he to ride for his contract employer only. T. C. Bradley and Co." The following resolution was offered and adopted: Resolved. That the following named gentlemen be requested to serve as a committee to make the conditions, including weights for horses contending for a race to be known as the Kentucky Gold Cup. to which the commission shall add a gold cup costing ,000. to be run upon the track adding the largest sum for the same, and they are requested to meet June 3. at 11 oclock, at Douglas Iark race track and to submit said rules and conditions. The following committee was appointed: George J. Long and John Middleton of Louisville. Ky.; J. B. Kespess of Covington. Ky.: Price Headley and T. C. McDowell of Lexington. Ky.: A. B. Hancock and T. II. Talbott of Bourbon County. Ky. "Upon motion, duly seconded. George W. Innes was reinstated to good standing. Upon motion, duly seeond-d the case of T. J. Brown was continued upon request of his counsel. "Upon motion, duly seconded, the different associations are notifed to make applications for fall racing dates at the next meeting of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, which will be held June ... at the Douglas Park race track. Program b-xiks for Douglas Park Jockey Clubs and the Ix-itonia Agricultural Associations coming meetings were received, approved and filed."
