BRINOHURST was beat** throughout, but raced gamely and was much the best of the others. DR. CARMEN had no mishaps. QUEEN APPLE made a g.ine effort on the stretch turn, but got itno a pocket, which cost lu-r second place. BOOKER RILL and J ROSVENOR raced well up most of the way.
