WHITL HACKLE raced under restraint for the first quarter, then drew away into an easy lead and won with speed in reserve. MISS PlZZLE set a fast pace in the early running and fell back on the turn, but responded gamely to punishment and passed MARSE HENRY in the final eighth. The latter ran a good race and wa.s tiring under his weight after making a game effort. HIDDEN STAR was hard urged throughout ami ran well. DADDYS CHOICE dosed a gap with a belated rush in the homestretch. INDIAN CHANT ran well in the early running and probably was short. Scratched- -20542 Weiionah. 107; Engelbcrt, 112. SARATOGA raced in nearest pursuit of PANDEAN in the early running and. passing him iu the stretch with ease, won hard held. PANDEAN set a good pace to the stretch and held the others safe, hugged the rail throughout and had no mishaps. LITTLE NEARER moved up menacingly while rounding the last turn, but tired in the homestretch. DAINGERF1ELD ran fairly well. The winner, entered for 00. was bid up to ,205 and Itought in. MUSTARD saved ground on all turns and took the lead with a rush at the eighth post, but tired when challenged la the final drive. ROLY set a fast early pace under slight restraint, but tired as if n-eding a race. GAINER raced gamely. EAGLE and TARTAR were outpaced. FRIAR ROCK met repeated interference, but los d up fast when dear and outstayed GILLIES. The latter ran well for three-quarters. Foul was claimed, hut not allowed. DIXON PARK fenced faultlessly and. dosing up steadily, gained rapidly in the final drive and would have won in a few more strides. SYOSSET raced into the lead will: a rush in the final eighth, but tired at the end. ARCHDALE made several bad landings. RACEBROOK was eased up when he tired. SORRENTO fell at the seventh jump. COLUMBINE set a fast pace and swerved out badly in the final quarter, but rescinded gamely when called on in the final drive and was going away at the finish. YANKEE WITCH ran true all the way and. taking the lead, hung on gamely, but could not withstand the winners challenge. PKISCILLA ran green, but showed speed and finished close up. IDLE HOUR tired. The others were outpaced.
