THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS. J. McTaggart only rode two winners last week, but still leads the riders of the year by a wide interval over his closest competitor. F. Murphy guided seven winners and that creditable record landed him in second place. R. Goose also was astride seven winners. The leaders for the week, however, were E. Pool and W. Obert, who each had a score of nine winning mounts. There is quite an interesting struggle for second place going on, in which the difference is only fie winning mounts between F. Murphy. C. Hunt. H. Shilling. E. Tap-I in and E. Pool. The records of the thirty leaders, to and including last Saturday, were: Jockey. Mts. 1st. 2d. 3d. Unp. P.C.L.W. McTaggart. J. ..370 70 05 40 1S9 .20 2 Murphy.
