The latter had 1 no mishaps and ran a good race. BONANZA was taken back in the first quarter and saved to the stretch, then outstayed PRIMERO in the final strides. NETTIE WALCUTT was shuffled back soon after the start, but came around the others on the strcteh turn, then tired in the final drive. POMP ran fairly well. MISS JAZBO quit. ELLISON made a threat- I ening challenge on the lower turn, but was forced wide and tired in the stretch. BIG SMOKE tired 5 after going three-quarters, but ran fairly well.
