ARISTOBULUS gained steadily while rounding the far turn and. finishing fiist and gamely, easily r raced into a decisive lead in the homestretch. LUCILE 1". began slowly and was crowded back in the tirst sixteenth, then closed a big gap and finished with a rush. SWEETER THAN SUGAR ran well, but t tired in the last sixteenth. WATER LADY was cut off repeatedly when she attempted to get through on the inside while rounding the far turn, but came fast through the stretch and won going away. PESKY saved ground on all turns, but was unable to withstand the winners challenge. FAIR HELEN set a good pace, but was made too much us of and tired. CELTO ran fairly well. MILESTONE quit. ACHIEVEMENT raced well, but seemed to tire after moving up rapidly after entering the homestretch. RAINCOAT easily passed the tiring SANDS OF PLEASURE in the last eighth. COPPER KING passed BILLY FRKW after going the first quarter and set a slow pace, but tired in the last sixteenth and had to be hard ridden to outstay PRINCE PHILS-THORPE. The- latter finished fast and gaining on the winner. AMPHION was outrun early, but closed a big gap and finished with a rush. BILLY FREW set the early pace and raced well to the last eighth.
