DURYEA IMPORTATIONS ALL THRIVING. New York. June 13— The turfmen who paid liberal prices for thoroughbreds at the sale of Mrs. Duryeas imported Freneh-bred animals all appear to In- more than satisfied with their purchases. Crim| er and The Belgian, which are for the present quartered in W. P. Burohs stable in charge of Trainer Brooks, have gone right on improving since the sale despite the fact that they have been suffering from the prevailing epidemic of coughing, and now they are grand -looking colts in every reelect. Both these colts were rapidly improving in condition at the time of the sale, and since that time they have continued to do so in the most satisfactory manner. A. J. Joyner. who bought Fane and Teetotal for George W. Widener. Jr.. and Muckross and Kil-ladar for M. I.. Schwartz, is more than satisfied with the manner in which they have been progressing since their arrival at Belmont. Both the fillies have been coughing slightly of late, but they have continued to eat and put on flesh in a manner that is extremely gratifying. Farce, em-! ecially is now a splendid looking filly and one of the most attractive at Belmont Park. The other three from the Duryea sale are also doing as well as could be wished. Tranby. purchased for John Sanford: Herodote. bom, lit for Mr. Kiddle of Boston: Panoche, and. in fact, all the animals offered at that memorable sale, are making most satisfactory progress in the hands of their new owner-. The seventeen ye.irl ings which were withdrawn because of distemper ami held to be sold at Saratoga during the coming August, are now practically all right ami rapidly putting ou flesh at their quarters in the Haggin barn in Neck Itoad, where trainer Murphy is fitting them for the cumin,; sale.
