Won driving; second and third the same. OLD MISS raced in close pursuit of the leaders from the start and, rescinding gamely under punishment, got up to win in the closing strides. WALL STREET set a good pace, but tired badlv in the last sixteenth. BRIGHT SAND ran well and outstayed SLEEPY SAM in the final drive. GRATITUDE propped at the start and was left. CORN BROOM lieat the others away from the barrier and easily won all the way. BEEHIVE finished resolutelv and outstaved MOSS FOX for second place. The latter was sore when going to the |K st and quit as though short. PEPPER SAUCE began clowly. HOPEFUL AGE broke down and was pulled up. The winner w;:s entered for 00; no bid. MACK raced into a long lead in the first quarter and led under restraint until in the last sixteenth, then tired. VALAS raced well and, after tiring, came again and finished gamely.
