FRIGERIO BEATS AURIGA TWO CRACK TWO -YEAR-OLDS FURNISH A THRILLING AND LONG STRETCH DRIVE. E. R. Bradley Scores a Double Star of Lovo Wins McDowell and Scliorr Stables Not Coming to Chicago. ! Cincinnati, O., July 10. Frigerio and Auriga, retarded us among the best of the two-year-olds in these parts, figured in an interesting and hard fought contest in the Pleasant Kidge Ilandieaii at five and a half furlongs, featuring this afternoons card at Latonia. It resulted in a victory for Frigerio bv a neck after a well-sustained stretch drive. Betting activities were always confined to the pair, the filly having a shade the more supporters at the end. There was a long delay at the barrier due to the bad post actions of Phocion and Guy Fortune, but when they were dispatched on their wav, Frigerio went promptly into the lead, closely pursued by Auriga. On the stretch turn the fillv made a threatening challenge and overhauled the colt. From the last eighth post to the finish the pair ran almost on even strides until in the last ten yards. Then Frigerio managed to again get his head in front and he retained a winning margin to the finish. Auriga beat the others off for second place, Phocion landing third. K. R. Bradley made it a double when Blind Bag-gage accounted for the secondary feature, at three-quarters, which he won in easy fashion from Julia 1j. mid King Gorin after leading for the entire way. G rover Hughes, conceding weight to the others, was good enough to win the selling handicap from Floral Park and Bonanza. The last named dashed into a long lead soon after the start and threatened to make a runaway of it but tired in the stretch. , , .
