FLYING PEEP made a poor landing at the fourteenth jump. WHITE METAL fell at the fourteenth. EL BART was lame when going to the post and was pulled up at the seventh. ZELLWOOD fell at the first. BALLOT was under punishment from the start and showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired. RACONTEUSE raced into the lead with a rush while rending the last turn, but quit badly when challenged and put under punishment. TAMERLANE began badly.
