LYC1A, running well in the going and away fast, moved into a good lead at once, but finally tired and just managed to outstay MEELOGENE. The latter, away slowly ami forced to race wide, closed an immense gap and was going fastest at the end. JOVIAL tired after being a close contender to the last eighth. AYon driving; second and third the same. HIGH GEAR begun slowly, but moved up steadily after going the lirst quarter and outstayed BERLIN after a hard last eighth drive. BERLIN was made much use of it in the first three-eighths and, after disposing of JAMES, tired fast under his impost in the Inst sixteenth. JAMES showed much speed for the lirst half and tired.
