SIR ARTHUR wore the tiring leaders down in the homestretch and got up in the last twenty yards to win drawing clear. TORN SILK tired after passing THORNCLIFFE. The latter raced into the lead on the last turn, but failed to stay. SAtAL closed a big gap. ALECTO ran poorly. TIXIELEDI quit after setting the early pace. Overweights Sacal. 2 pounds. JACK WINSTON fell at the ninth fence, then was remounted and finished fast, but pulled up lame. ANTISEPTIC had a long lead, but ran past a gap into the main course after taking the eighteenth jump and this cost him the race. COTTON TOP fell at the ninth and seventeenth fences and refused at two others, but finally finished within the time limit. ANTISEPTIC crossed in front of SAROLTA at the thirteenth jump and she fell. JIM O. fell at the second, LADY BUTTERFLY at the third and NILA and JOE GAIETY at the thirteenth. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 273942Bamboo. 139. O Q O A A THIRD RACE 5-8 Mile.
