I THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN WINNING HORSES OF THE j I PRESENT YEAR 1 1 r 4. Among tiie winning horses of this year that sturdy and reliable colt, Dodge, has already passed Borrows total of 1915 and, if no accident happens to him, bids fair to prove the champion money earner of 1915. His only engagement at Saratoga is in the Saraliac Handicap, August 15, but many valuable stake races are yet to be closed for fall racing in which he should reap further gains. With Ed Crump second to Dodge and Harry Kelly third, John W. Schorr is in the fortunate position of owning two of the years winners of 810,000 or more, something no other owner can boast of. Harry Kelly is in the Saratoga Special and the 7,500 Hopeful Stnkes. If he wins either or both lie may himself figure as the leader of the year. James Butlers good three-year-old Spur lias worked his way up into the exclusive band of winners of over 0,000 and is proof of the excellence of King James as a coming sire. It seems probable that Boots is destined to cross the 0,000 line before long. He is a fast horse and a stayer to boot. The thirty leading winners among the horses are now: Horse. Age. Pedigree.
