FRENCH-BRED YEARLINGS PROVE POPULAR. Saratoga Springs, N. Y., August 15. Twenty-four young thoroughbreds, bred in France and owned by Delbert Itoiff, were disposed of by auction today before the racing in the Saratoga paddocks and brought exceptionally good prices. Fight in the consignment were two-year-olds and they went for an aggregate of 0,400 or an average of ,050. The sixteen yearlings brought a total of 3,525, the twenty-four head selling for a total of 9,925. Nearly all the colts attracted spirited bidding, the star in the yearling division going to W. S. Kilmer on his bid of 1916.sh,000. A. K. Macomber secured what was considered the choicest of the two-year-olds for ,300.
