The division of the Jefferson Livingston stable that Mose Goldblatt trains will be shipped to Ken-tuck at the close of the Windsor meeting. The value of the Irish Derby for 191S is to be 7,500, of which 5,000 will go to the winner. This year Avhen it was won by Furore, the wiiinen received 1,375. In consequence of the change in dates for tho Kenilworth Park meeting at AVindsor. the opening of the second meeting at Dufferin Park will be deferred until September 13. It is considered likely that there may be a meeting at King Edward Park. Montreal, for six days, from August 28 to September 2, but the matter has not yet been definitely decided. The King Edward Park management has just relinquished its original dates, August 19 to August 20 to the Mount Royal track. The fillv, Inbreed, racing at Saratoga, is by Bartender Miss Lisbon. Bartender is by The Bard Lisbon Maid, and so is Miss Lisbon. It follows that the aptly-named Inbreed is the result of mating a brother and sister. Such incestuous breeding is now uncommon, but was frequently practiced in the early days of thoroughbred breeding. The Newbury Autumn Cup of ,500 was won at Newbury last Saturday by W. Raphaels Aboukir, with Donoghue in the saddle, by n short head from Lord Cholmaiidlevs Brownii, ridden by Balding. E. Hultons Nisus with J. Smyth up, was third, three lengths behind. Twenty-eight entries were received for this handicap, but only twelve horses faced the starter. The betting was Aboukir 5 to 1; Brownii. 7 to 1, and Nisus, 5 to 1. The winner was trained by T. Persse.
