GLOOM V GUS gained steadily next to tlie inner rail and drew away rapidly when clear under hard urging and was casing up at the finish. PASSING FANCY raced forwardly throughout and outstayed YELLOWSTONE in the linal drive. The latter raced into a long lead in the early running, but tired When challenged as if short. HANOBALA closed an immense gap and ran a good race. KING BAG GOT and SANSCRIT tired. The winner was entered for ,200, no hid. PAN MAID saved ground on all the turns and, moving up fast in the linal eighth, outstayed her opponents in the linal strides. CONNING TOWER raced on the extreme outside of the leaders while rounding the far turn and took the lead in the linal eighth, but tired near the end. HAUBERK, away badly, came on the outside in the homestretch and. finishing fastest, would have won in another stride. J. .1. MURDOCK was much used in racing FILIGREE into defeat and tired. DODGE, after being saved under slight restraint in the early running, came on the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn and, finishing fast, drew away under mild urging. SPUR was slmllled back sit the start, but gradually improved his position and finished fast and gamely. TEA CADDY followed the leader closely from the start and took the lead in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. KATHLEEN set a fast pace and ran well for three-quarters. GILLIES was lame when going to the post and not persevered with when beaten. DADDYS CHOICE ran well. DELANCEY showed early speed. Scratched 2S421 Celandria, 107. OQJ rrn FIFTH RACE 5-8 Mile. The latter showed much speed and ran a good race, but tired finally. GOLDEN ROD raced extremely Avide throughout, but closed a great gap and ran a good race. CREPTSCULE had a rough race.
